About

Bounding Line Web Development is the web consultancy of Michael Powers, who lives and works in Indiana, PA, USA. Bounding Line is a member of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce.

About Michael

I fell in love with the web sometime in 1993, and still believe that it can be place that enables communication and creativity.

I’ve been creating web sites since 1994, working for the University of California at Irvine, Turner Learning, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and several federal agencies.

I also hold a Ph.D. in literature and have a particular interest in James Joyce—a fact not unrelated to my obsession with the internet and other networks. I am also a member of the Dad Band.

Contact me at info@boundingline.com, or call (724) 422-3991. I’d love to talk about how you can make the most of the web.

Why “Bounding Line”?

I'm fascinated by the boundary between computers and the people who use them. Too often that bounding line is an impenetrable barrier. I aim to help people leap over those barriers and make the interactions between humans and their computers as easy and rewarding as possible.

Technical Stuff

This site is built to comply with all relevant web standards. (Try the “XHTML” and “CSS” links at the bottom of any page to see for yourself.) Complying with web standards helps make this site fast, accessible, and readable by Google.

This site also complies with federal standards for accessibility by the vision and hearing impaired (a.k.a. “Section 508”). (You can—partially—check this for yourself: try the “508” link at the bottom of any page.)
